Fellow Republicans:

Thank you for your support and hard work on behalf of my candidacy for chairman of the 10th District Republican Committee!

While we came up short in Saturday's convention, I'm truly grateful to those of you who have been so kind, gracious and committed to taking the Republican Party to the level Americans need us to reach. It was gratifying to see so many supporters in the audience who made the trip to Warrenton yesterday, and I regret not being able to say thank you to each of you more personally.

Congratulations to Howie Lind on his victory and superior organizational effort that resulted in more of his supporters attending the convention. I encourage you all to support Howie and the Republican Party at all levels as we must keep pressing forward to take Congress back and return common sense to government.

I'm proud of my family who made an impressive showing yesterday, as well as the many wonderful new friends Sharon and I made over the past few months. We look forward to staying in touch with many of you and continuing to work for the advancement of Republican ideals.

One of President Reagan's favorite quotes was, "You can accomplish much if you don't care who gets the credit." We saw that spirit in so many of our volunteers, and it was inspiring!
